Kingston announced their next-generation KC2500 NVMe PCIe SSD for desktops, workstations, and high-performance computing systems. The KC2500 is set to deliver a performance like no other with its latest Gen 3.0 x4 controller and 96-layer 3D TLC NAND, providing speeds of up to 3,5000MB/s read and up to 2,900MB/s write.

The KC2500 is available in capacities up to 2TB and is fitted in an M.2 2280 form factor. Security-wise, the KC2500 has a self-encrypting function for an end-to-end data protection using AES-XTS 256-bit hardware-based encryption. It allows the usage of third-party software like TCG Opal 2.0, security management solutions like Symantec, McAfee, WinMagic, and others. The KC2500 also has built-in support for Microsoft eDrive, a security specification for use with BitLocker.
