The crossover of the world of Sword Art Online and Accel World will come to the PlayStation 4 and Vita courtesy of Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia.
Titled as Accel World vs. Sword Art Online , the game follows the story where Kirito is looking for Yui who is now missing as the worlds of Sword Art Online and Accel World have started merging. To be able to find her location, Kirito must battle the Seven Kings of Pure color from the Accelerated World and out of the clutches of Personna Babel.
Sword Art Online and Accel World creator, Reki Kawahara is on board the project and in fact is the one who wrote the game exclusive story.
As far as the information we had. Accel World vs. Sword Art Online will have players build three-person teams from characters from both shows bringing their own special abilities. Sword Art Online characters will be able to utilize the fairy flight mechanic from Alfheim Online as well as magic, while Accel World characters will have access to Acceleration and special techniques.
We were also informed that layers can team up with three other players to battle rivals in online multiplayer modes.
