Globe Conquerors 2018 was truly a blast and we saw the best of the best battle it out. This year, we will make it a more community-centric affair, primarily as a way of thanking the community for their support and love of League.

Says Nikko Acosta, Globe SVP, Content Business Group.

According to Gerry Soler, Head of Globe Games and Esports, the event is part of Globe’s continuing support to build and serve the growing community, be that the for the competitive and hardcore gamers, or the casual fanbases in the Philippines.

Esports is now a full fledged competitive sport – even here in the Philippines. Regionally this is also affirmed with it being a medal sport at the upcoming 30th Southeast Asian Games. And as will any sport, the community around it continues to grow as well. With that, we at Globe Games and Esports are very excited to be part of this and consider ourselves to be amongst its biggest supporters and fans.

Soler adds.

The partnership between Globe, Riot Games and Garena, has made the annual event one of the most anticipated for League fans and gamers across the region.

With a greater emphasis on player experiences, such as interactive and immersive experiential areas, we are anticipating even more positive engagement from the community this year.

Says Jamie Lewin, Head of Strategic Partnerships, esports, for Southeast Asia for Riot Games.

The Manila Symphony Orchestra will also be there on the first day at the opening ceremony to play your favorite League anthems and songs.
