Long time and recent fans alike are in for a new treat as new stories unfold with the introduction of Star Wars: The High Republic publishing campaign. This era will take a deep dive in the Star Wars galaxy 200 years before the events of Episode I: The Phantom Menace. There’s something for fans of every age as The High Republic will be explored through different media platforms. From adult and young adult novels to children’s books and comics coming from a variety of known publishers in the business including Disney Lucasfilm Press, Del Rey, IDW Publishing and Marvel.
From the press materials, Lucasfilm seems to shed light and explore the golden age of the Jedi as guardians of peace and justice. The stories are set in a time where there’s no overlap with previous movies and shows and planned features, so it’s a whole new galaxy to explore.
You can expect the first books and comics to be released at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim around August 2020 with Star Wars: The High Republic: Light of the Jedi.
What a great time to be a Star Wars fan!
