Yes you read that right. The Crash Bandicoot-themed karting game is making a huge comeback as it was announced today during The Gaming Awards 2018.
Retitled as Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, this latest CTR title has remastered everything that made the game such an enjoyable karting game alternative to Mario Kart.
According to Kotaku, the updated CRT will have all the modes from the original such as Adventure, Arcade, Versus, Battle, and Time Trial with an addition of online play.
Nitro-Fueled is priced at 40 usd for the standard edition as well as 60 usd for a digital deluxe version called the Nitros Oxide Edition. This version will include the racer Nitros Oxide as part of the roster as well as an additional kart, character skins and “much more”which will include the racer Nitros Oxide as part of the starting roster, as well as an additional kart, character skins, and “much more.”
To be clear though, Nitros Oxide is unlockable in-game but has a skill wall that you need to break through.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is coming out on June 21, 2019 to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch platforms. A surprising update if I may so as well since the original CTR was mostly a PlayStation exclusive title.
