As of yesterday, Niantic has announced that the AR game, Pokemon Go is now available in 26 countries outside of the initial three Australia, New Zealand and the US, Germany and UK.
This recent update goes contrary to what I earlier reported about that there are no plans to have the game come out outside of the select countries in an earlier post.
So far Pokemon Go is launched on the ff. countries:
- Austria
- Belgium
- Bulgaria
- Croatia
- Cyprus
- Czech Republic
- Denmark
- Estonia
- Finland
- Greece
- Greenland
- Hungary
- Iceland
- Ireland
- Latvia
- Lithuania
- Luxembourg
- Malta
- Netherlands
- Norway
- Poland
- Romania
- Slovakia
- Slovenia
- Sweden
- Switzerland
While mostly the roll-out is happening mostly within the European region. It may only be a matter of time before the game launches officially in other countries and us here in the Philippines specifically.
This recent update is exciting since there is a possibility that we may get to play the game either within the month or at least earlier next month if the updates keep coming like this. So the wait is still on but at least for now we are at least definitely sure that the Niantic is in high gear in making the game available globally asap.
