The latest update for Pokemon Bank came out yesterday allowing players to finally access their respective Pokemon deposit boxes for Pokemon Sun and Moon.
For those who have no idea what I’m talking about. Pokemon Bank offers a paid service that allows players to store and transfer their Pokemon from previous versions (as far back as Pokemon Black and White) to the more recent generation of Pokemon games. And the latest update for the bank finally allows Gen 7 (Sun/Moon) access to the service.
If you’d like to know more about the services the Pokemon Bank offers, you can head to their FAQ page here.
It also doesn’t end there. If you subscribe to the Pokemon Bank Service from now till October 2 of this year, you can also get the Mewnium Z, Mew’s Z-crystal.
The other Pokemon transfer service, Poke Transporter also gets an update that allows the digital version of Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow to be transferred to the banking service. Surprisingly, based on my own experience, the Pokemon being transferred from these versions of the game will provide the said Pokemon’s Hidden Ability. So if you’re looking for a specific Pokemon with the corresponding ability this might be a good option for you.
Here’s an infographic that explains how the Pokemon Bank works.
I was told that the service right now has had a few bugs in it. Which is to be expected since this is a major update. So please do be careful when you transfer your Pokemons around.
The Pokemon Bank service charges an annual fee of 4.99 USD (roughtly around 200 PHP) and is downloadable via the Nintendo eShop. You can check the overall updates here.
