Last December 15 I’ve been given the opportunity to check out a few select scenes from Alita: Battle Angel courtesy of AOC and 20th Centruy Fox. To be honest, I never had the movie in my sights even if this was a live-action/CGI movie adaptation of a Manga created by Yukito Kishiro (titled Gunm in Japan). Or that it had stars Christoph Waltz (Col. Hans Landa in Inglorious Basterds (“Bingo! Did I say it right?”), Mahershala Ali (Cottonmouth in Luke Cage), and Ed Skrein (Ajax, Deadpool) on board.
The screening, held at IMAX Megamall showcased select scenes from the movie. Giving enough to psyche up the upcoming film, and made me interested. I loved how seamless the CGI is along with the actors. What’s more, the CGI looked more realistic and natural in the movie compared to previous attempts on the technology. So the movie itself is not only a visual masterpiece but also a technical marvel.
As the official partner for the movie, AOC is set to launch a series of promotional activities globally.
Alita: Battle Angel is set to be released this coming February 19, 2019 here in the country. Be reminded of the movie with this trailer:
