The ThinkBook 15‘s very professional, understated exterior compromises nothing as it’s a feature-rich machine in a sleek body. In a 2019 study conducted by Forrester Consulting, as commissioned by Lenovo, the ThinkBook series aims to cater to the young workforce of 2020, namely the millennials and Gen Z crowd. Its design DNA integrates the convenience of a consumer laptop with professional-grade features and performance.
Among the ThinkBook 15‘s unique features include a hot key designated for Skype for Business, which comes preinstalled, by the way. There is also Lenovo‘s ThinkShutter which is a physical sliding cover for the webcam that ensures the user’s privacy. NO MORE STICKERS ON THE WEBCAM (+5 professional points). There is also an integrated fingerprint reader on the Smart Power button for a more secure log-in with Windows Hello. The ThinkBook 15 is a lightweight device that can also offer up to 12 hours of battery life allowing you to take it wherever work takes you.
The ThinkBook 15 is available on a number of configurations and can run up to a 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, which 6 cores ensures flawless performance. You can also configure it to pack up to 24GB of RAM and up to 2TB of storage capacity. You can have it powered by either an Intel IGP or an AMD Radeon 620 discrete graphics card if you need a little bit of oomph on the graphic side. All variants come with an Intel Optane Memory Module that allows users faster performance on frequently used programs and the Trusted Platform Module for enhanced security as it encrypts user data.
With the recent pandemic crisis affecting every workforce around the globe, a paradigm shift in how we work is inevitable. Companies, where they can, were able to shift to work-from-home mode but they needed to invest in smarter technology to support their employee if they’re to work from their home. The ThinkBook series offers compelling solutions to in-demand features like collaboration tools to allow users to work with flexibility and mobility in mind.
The ThinkBook series come in 4 variants: ThinkBook 15, ThinkBook 14s, ThinkBook 14 and ThinkBook 13. All are equipped with a Full HD panel with anti-glare display and narrow bezels. Being a work laptop that needs reliability, Lenovo offers a full suite of services and support including Premier Support, which is an enhanced warranty plan that gives users 24×7 direct access to tech support on the first call. It also provides accidental damage protection (ADP) which provides coverage for damages that are not usually covered under standard warranties.
