Netflix has announced that they are bringing 21 Studio Ghibli films to the streaming service starting next month, February 1 through it’s distribution partnerh, Wild Bunch International.
The addition of these award winning movies will be available globally excluding the US, Canada, and Japan. The movies will be subtitled in 28 languages, and dubbed in 20. The partnership will have fans in the Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America enjoy their movies in their native language.
In this day and age, there are various great ways a film can reach audiences. We’ve listened to our fans and have made the definitive decision to stream our film catalogue. We hope people around the world will discover the world of Studio Ghibli through this experience
